Satalin T400 vinyl record player review: Full of ritual sense of listening to mu
The sound of vinyl record players has always been soft, full, and more authentic, but due to their large size, they have gradually been replaced by digital sounds such as CD players, computers, and smartphones. However, the principle of sound is different from that of images; images can be well preserved using digital technology, but when sound is preserved digitally, it loses some of its original flavor to a certain extent, which is known as the "digital taste." This is because sound is originally a continuous wavelength, while digital music cuts the continuous wavelength into segments and records it with numbers, essentially turning a wave of sound into a series of dot-like sounds. As a result, in recent years, vinyl record players have started to come back into vogue.
Recently, I acquired a vinyl record player: the T400. Although it is a vinyl record player, it is not black at all; the entire body is made with a classic white finish, which looks classic and elegant. Placed in the home, it exudes a sense of light luxury and exquisiteness, creating a very good atmosphere.

Let's take a look at its appearance. The T400's dimensions, when the lid is open, are 362*334*337mm, and when the box is closed, they are 362*290*125mm. It is not a large volume, so it won't take up too much space, allowing for greater freedom in placement. It can be nicely situated in a study, living room, or bedside, all of which contribute to a pleasant atmosphere. For instance, I have placed it on my TV cabinet, and it looks really beautiful there.
At the front of the machine, there is a large rotary knob that can adjust the volume and also turn the power on and off. This design is classic and user-friendly. Its touch is also quite good, with smooth and delicate operation.Beside it is the machine's cooling grille, which actually conceals two speakers within it. The large cooling grille is filled with classic elements, also paying tribute to the glory of past household appliances.
It is equipped with two 10W speakers, designed with a dual-sealed chamber to create a professional three-dimensional acoustic performance through the professional proportion calculations of acoustic designers, ensuring a stable and high-quality auditory experience.
Turning to the back of the machine, the back is also quite simple, but still features two RCA connectors, a USB-C power port, and a power indicator light.
These one red and one white terminals are for audio output signals and are analog, which can maximize the preservation of the original sound flavor of vinyl records. If you have a tube amplifier or other analog signal amplifiers at home, then you can experience the charm of the analog sound brought by better and larger speakers.
Don't forget that there is also a power supply included, which uses a USB-C integrated output with an output power of 5V2A. This is actually consistent with the specifications of common fast-charging power supplies for mobile phones, and it is universally compatible. You don't necessarily have to use the original charger; even a power bank can easily drive it, offering excellent compatibility. You can see a mat placed on top of the T400 turntable, and the size of this mat is about 7 inches. This mat is not a vinyl record, though.
The core of a vinyl record player is this stylus. It is equipped with an Audio-Technica moving magnet cartridge, which can capture more musical details, thereby better restoring the music experience.
To prevent unstable vibrations from causing wear and tear during playback, the T400 has a built-in hidden suspension system for shock absorption. This ensures that the record remains more stable during motion, avoiding damage to the grooves.
This red play/pause button is quite conspicuous, and its size is almost perfectly suited to a finger, making it comfortable to press with a moderate amount of force. The design details are quite user-friendly.
Additionally, it features two mode switches, including one for changing the speed of the record and another for toggling Bluetooth mode. There is also a 3.5mm AUX audio output here, allowing those who prefer wired headphones to expand from this port. Above that, there is a switch lever that can be moved to raise or lower the stylus. After examining the exterior, I can hardly wait to experience it. The machine comes with a randomly included 7-inch vinyl record, which is a colored vinyl record featuring the new single "Horse Chasing Stars" by the electronic band Electric Cherry. In addition to 7-inch, the T400 also supports 10-inch and 12-inch records, ensuring compatibility.
Upon turning the volume knob to power on, the indicator light will illuminate. These are all full of retro elements.
The debut unplugged tracks "Horse Chasing Stars" and "Leaving" from Electric Cherry express philosophical thoughts about loneliness and self in a new musical language, bringing a warm and healing touch.
This kind of music can create a better atmosphere when played on a vinyl record player. Its sound is rich and mellow in the bass, and sweet and smooth in the mid and high tones. Indeed, music without the digital flavor is more warm and touching.
The record player operates stably, without any other noise or unusual sounds. Unlike playing music on a smartphone, using the T400 vinyl record player is very ceremonial. While watching the film reels spin in the living room, accompanied by warm music, one's mood instantly becomes pleasant and content, with less anxiety and unease.
In this fast-paced society, it is a rare opportunity to calm down and appreciate the beautiful music while the film reels spin, a feeling that may only be truly experienced by being present in person.
Overall, whether you are a homebody, working late into the night in your study, or a couple spending a romantic Valentine's evening, the Setarin T400 all-in-one turntable can bring us a sense of ceremony and atmosphere, reducing our restlessness and anxiety, allowing us to better enjoy the pleasures of life at the moment.
If you also love music, why not try such a vinyl record player?
